April Matthews, FNP-C, DCNP, has been serving the Visalia community in healthcare for more than 27 years. Her medical career began as a Respiratory Therapist before advancing to critical care and float pool nursing. She later became a Nurse Practitioner, initially practicing in urgent care, where she still enjoys caring for patients on occasion.

Several years ago, April discovered her passion for dermatology and found the perfect blend of medicine, problem-solving, and patient relationships. Since then, she has dedicated herself to the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions affecting patients of all ages. Today, she specializes in medical dermatology, providing compassionate, evidence-based care for conditions ranging from acne, eczema, and psoriasis to skin cancer screenings, biopsies, and the management of complex skin disorders.

As a long-standing member of the community, April is committed to providing consistent, high-quality dermatologic care close to home. Her goal is simple: to help patients achieve healthier skin while ensuring they feel heard, respected, and genuinely cared for.
